Healthy dinner recipes

How many times has your brain felt so sluggish that you can’t even think straight? How many times have you felt so tired that even climbing a single flight of stairs takes its toll? Or what about those moments when you feel so uncomfortable that even your best outfit can’t lift your spirits? You’ve tried every known fitness hack and searched every shelf in the health and beauty department for that miracle product that could revive you, but still to no avail.

Why not look around the house and in the vegetable section of your supermarket? What I’m talking about? I’m talking about detox.

Detoxing isn’t just sweating it out in the gym or starving yourself on a water diet. It is a holistic approach to health and beauty. It covers everything from nutrition, fitness, and your sense of well-being.

Give it a try for a weekend and start the new week with a refreshed and revived you. Detoxing your way to health and beauty is possible with a few things you can easily find around the house. With a loofah or brush, scented candles, fragrance oils, herbal teas, and a weekend off, you’re ready to rejuvenate and renew.

Start a Friday by eating light foods (think salads and fruit) and drinking plenty of water throughout the day. At night, slowly massage dry with a loofah or brush using slow, long strokes. Move in one direction: up and towards the groin. Cool off with tea or water, then soak in a bath filled with lukewarm water and drops of aromatic bath oil. Light some scented candles and gradually add cold water over half an hour until your bath cools down a bit.

This is the start of your new health and beauty routine. This process is done for the stimulation of blood vessels. Dry off and dress warmly for bed.

The next day, start drinking hot water with lemon. Go for a walk while taking a deep breath. Take a steam bath or take a bath. You can also ask your partner or therapist for a massage. Once again, finish your health and beauty detox regimen with a dry massage brush and bath. Spend Sunday going through the entire process, but add one more activity.

Make a list of people or things, like your job, that are toxic to you (read: bad vibes). Evaluate how to manage them to reduce their toxic effect. Pamper yourself afterwards or do meditative exercises.

However, keep in mind that you may experience excessive sweating, a mild headache, and a rash. These are signs that your body is releasing toxins and they are temporary. Detoxing is effective, safe, and inexpensive enough to be part of your weekly health and beauty routine. Remember to avoid this during your period, pregnancy, and illness. Finally, talk to your doctor if you’re having trouble detoxifying.
